Affiliate Disclosure
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 • Last Updated: November 5, 2026
The Short & Honest Summary
Some links on OrsonCraft are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase or subscribe to a partner service, we may receive a small commission at absolutely zero extra cost to you. Our editorial reviews, software benchmarks, and tool recommendations are 100% independent and never dictated by commissions.
1. FTC Compliance Statement
In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR § 255), this disclosure informs you that OrsonCraft maintains commercial affiliate relationships with select vendors, retailers, and service providers mentioned across our guides, blog articles, and tools.
2. What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link contains a unique tracking identifier code. When you click an affiliate link on OrsonCraft and subsequently purchase a product or sign up for a service on the third-party website, the vendor's tracking cookie records that the referral originated from our site.
In return, the merchant pays OrsonCraft a small percentage or referral bounty. Importantly:
- You never pay more: The price you pay is identical to (or sometimes discounted compared to) going directly to the vendor's homepage. In fact, our affiliate partnerships frequently unlock exclusive creator discounts (e.g. 7% off DistroKid first-year memberships).
- No files or private data are shared: Clicking an affiliate link only passes standard HTTP referral tracking. Your media files, conversions, and local data are never involved.
3. Categories of Affiliate Partners We Work With
We only partner with tools, services, and hardware that our engineering team and contributing creators actively use in real production pipelines:
Music Distribution Services
In our audio guides and Spotify Cover Art Checker, we link to trusted digital distributors including DistroKid, CD Baby, and TuneCore.
Creator Hardware & Audio Gear
Links to audio interfaces, studio monitors, condenser microphones, and lighting kits via Sweetwater, B&H Photo, or the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program.
DAW Plugins & Audio Software
In our BPM Tapper and audio trimming guides, we recommend plugins from Plugin Boutique, FabFilter, or iZotope.
Web Hosting & Cloud Services
For creators building personal portfolio sites or hosting podcasts, we may link to recommended hosting providers and domain registrars.
4. Strict Editorial Independence
Creator trust is our most valuable asset. If we endorse a substandard product, we lose your confidence. Therefore, we abide by strict editorial boundaries:
- No Paid Reviews: We do not accept payment to write positive reviews or favorable rankings for any software or hardware.
- Commission Rates Do Not Dictate Recommendations: If a tool or service offers a 50% commission but is buggy or anti-consumer, we will not recommend it. If an open-source or free alternative is superior, we recommend the free tool.
- Hands-On Verification: Every service mentioned in our guides has been verified for compliance with current platform specifications (such as Spotify's 3000×3000px cover art guidelines or YouTube's 1280×720 thumbnail limits).
5. How Affiliate Revenue Supports OrsonCraft
Delivering instantaneous browser-based tools with zero paywalls requires continuous development, ongoing browser engine compatibility testing, and global edge CDN bandwidth.
Affiliate commissions—combined with unobtrusive display advertising—allow us to:
- Keep all 15 core utilities 100% free forever for every creator worldwide.
- Avoid intrusive subscription paywalls, forced watermarks, or file export quotas.
- Finance research into next-generation WebAssembly media manipulation.
6. Amazon Associates Disclosure
OrsonCraft is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated international marketplaces.
